For those of you who are left unsatisfied from my last post (even though in real life it was a very satisfying pickle experience) it's time I got caught up.
Reading week's pretty much over and, though I should have, I didn't read all that much. Got ahead in one book, but not the one I really needed to. My load is light in the first little bit when I get back, I should be able to get it done - it's funny, right after the break I find myself saying "what I need is just a week off to get this shit done!". The book's a defense of globalization and is pretty good so far. I'm told just gets better, so I doubt it'll be a chore. Then I have to write two politics papers (one of which is a review of that book) and a comparative philosophy paper (comparing Kant's ideas to another philosopher's).
It's weird but sometimes I look forward to writing shit like this, I dunno why. I think these three'll actually be pretty interesting. I've got some cool shit floating around in my head for what I want to write about, though sometimes that's not the kind of stuff that makes good essays. But we'll see. Either way, I don' t want to have to write them all the night before like I have been. We'll see how this plan goes.
I went snowboarding on Thursday with my brother at Blue Mountain. Got there early and stayed late; it was a perfect day for it. The hill was conquered with every run being domminated by us - even the slow zone for people who are learning. We kicked it's ass. This day was definately one for the record books, the whole day was just what I needed.
That same day, after we got back, I went out to see Haas for his 21st birthday. Saw him and a bunch've people I haven't seen in a long while: Dave, Serj, Charles, etc etc. Turns out Dave's doing party productions now and seems to be the king of the rave scene. He's even making clothes. The kid's a tycoon! We all shot some pool at Monaghan's, and then they wanted to get some Chinese food so, being broke, I parted ways with them. I called Borbes' cell to see what's what, and I met up with a bunch of people who had got together at Eric's. Well, Phil's. Whatever. It's a sweet pad. And I discovered 'Einstien's Dreams'. That's going on the to read list. Admit it, you all have them - everybody has a reading list (even if its just a vauge one in your head). In fact, help me out and tell me some one's that you've enjoyed or think I would.
Saw my cousin Dugan the day before that. His little bro Mack went to a Van Halen concert nearby and so his dad and Düg stayed over at our place until he needed to get picked up. Watched a little Dave Chappelle, had some laughs, talked about world of warcraft, and other such stuff far too cool to be mentioned on here to be read by the likes of you. World of warcraft sounds really good... like crack-addiction-type habit forming good. But, can't sacrifice the time right now... and I'm broke nigga I'm broke!
So, in closing: reading week relaxing; now must try to make next two weeks work-filled to earn my vacation immediately thereafter.
A'ight? I'te? Allll right!
